Band

Band begins with an instrument fitting where students try different instruments and get a feel for the ones that interest them most. With the director’s guidance, each student chooses a primary instrument. Learning how to read music and play an instrument is just the beginning of the engaging world of band. Performances in school, the local community, and beyond make for meaningful experiences that last a lifetime!

Cooking and Baking

Students explore their passions and tastes while getting a little messy in the process. Students cook up delicious creations and learn the skills necessary to become experts at anything they set out to accomplish!

Drumline students learn the fundamentals of multiple percussion instruments, studying keyboard mallets as well as instruments like snare drum and bass drum. Heart-pounding performances are always in high demand.

General Music

Students explore music and the world while encountering basic music theory, and sharpen their performance skills in fun, educational, and engaging ways. Students share their music and engage in community service, performing for live audiences in authentic settings (e.g. nursing homes, class, school, and beyond). These opportunities are a real highlight and provide excitement and engagement for all students.

Instrumental Instruction

Students learn an instrument (e.g. guitar, keyboard, etc.) in a group-lesson setting with a focus on individual musicianship and performance technique. These classes emphasize fine motor coordination, rhythmic decoding, and music literacy.

Theatre & Musical Theatre

Theatre includes everything from acting and dancing to costuming, set design, props and all Front of House production elements.
